You have several transportation options depending on your starting location. Here are some general directions:
By Car:
Travelling by car, please use a navigation app or GPS to find the best route based on your current location. From Budapest to Szeged you can use M5 motorway. Duration is appr. 1,5 hrs.
By Train:

Trains to Szeged depart from Nyugati Railway Station.
Duration is appr. 2,5 hr.
(Arriving by plain to Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport 2, please see’’by Air ’’bellow…). Price of the train ticket appr. 4200 HUF / 1 way (appr. 11 Euro)
From the railway station to the hotel it is appr. 35 min. walking distance:
By Bus:
Intercity buses also operate to and from Szeged. You can check bus schedules and purchase tickets in advance, BUT we do not really suggest travelling by bus, as the duration is 3-3,5 hrs and you have to change once!
By Air:
If you are travelling internationally or from a considerable distance, you might consider flying to Budapest and then taking a train to Szeged. Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport 2 is the nearest major airport.
In case you intend to travel by train from the airport to Szeged, please take BUS No. 200 from the Airport station to Ferihegy Vasútállomás station (Ferihegy railway station - takes appr. 7-10 min.), where you can change to train.
Suggestion:
As the railway station is quite small here with limited infrastructure, we highly recommend to check the train time-table in advance and wait at the airport (having coffee etc.) rather than in the railway station.
